It is 23 years since I was last in Japan. I still love it. The cultural collision of ancient tradition, mass urbanisation and advanced technology is a gobsmacking experience. And, then there’s the friendly population hungry to learn while blessed with fabulous food, beautiful rural scenery, extraordinary attention to detail, safe streets and a commitment to social harmony.
